SCB ผนึก KogoPAY สตาร์ทอัปโมบายเพย์เมนต์ พัฒนาช่องทางชำระเงินข้ามพรมแดน ผ่าน QR Code สำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวชาวอังกฤษและยุโรป

ธนาคารไทยพาณิชย์ จับมือ KogoPAY สตาร์ทอัปโมบายเพย์เมนต์ ผู้ให้บริการกระเป๋าเงินดิจิทัล ร่วมลงนามความร่วมมือในการพัฒนาช่องทางชำระเงินข้ามพรมแดนด้วยระบบอิเล็กทรอนิกส์คิวอาร์โค้ด (QR Code) และบริการถอนเงินจากตู้ ATM เพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกให้กับนักท่องเที่ยวชาวอังกฤษและยุโรปที่เดินทางมาท่องเที่ยวในประเทศไทย สามารถใช้กระเป๋าเงินดิจิทัลบนมือถือของ KogoPAY ชำระค่าสินค้าและบริการในเมืองไทยผ่านการสแกนคิวอาร์โค้ดที่ร้านค้าที่รองรับการชำระผ่าน Thai QR Code ทั่วประเทศไทยอย่างไร้รอยต่อ หวังเพิ่มทางเลือกการใช้จ่ายที่หลากหลาย สะดวก รวดเร็ว และปลอดภัย

นายธนวัฒน์ กิตติสุวรรณ รองผู้จัดการใหญ่ ผู้บริหารสูงสุด กลุ่มงาน Digital Juristic & Payment ธนาคารไทยพาณิชย์ กล่าวว่า “เพื่อตอบสนองภาคการท่องเที่ยวที่ฟื้นตัวกลับมาอย่างต่อเนื่องจากปี 2566 ธนาคารมุ่งเน้นเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการตอบสนองพฤติกรรมการใช้จ่ายของนักท่องเที่ยวที่จับจ่ายผ่าน Digital Payment ให้ได้จากทุกภูมิภาค โดยสอดคล้องกับข้อมูลของธนาคารที่พบว่าปี 2566 จำนวนรายการธุรกรรมผ่าน QR Payment เติบโตกว่า 60% จากปี 2565 และยังคงมีแนวโน้มเพิ่มสูงขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง ด้วยเหตุนี้ เพื่อสนับสนุนสังคมไร้เงินสดในประเทศไทย พร้อมอำนวยความสะดวกให้แก่นักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติ ธนาคารจึงร่วมมือกับ KogoPAY ร่วมกันพัฒนาช่องทางชำระเงินข้ามพรมแดนด้วยระบบอิเล็กทรอนิกส์คิวอาร์โค้ด (QR Code) และบริการถอนเงินจากตู้ ATM ช่วยให้นักท่องเที่ยวชาวอังกฤษและยุโรปมีทางเลือกการชำระเงินในประเทศไทยที่หลากหลาย สะดวก ปลอดภัย ในขณะที่ร้านค้าจะได้รับเงินเข้าบัญชีทันที ตอบโจทย์การใช้จ่ายของลูกค้าทุกกลุ่มจากทั่วโลกอย่างทั่วถึง พร้อมรองรับปริมาณธุรกรรมดิจิทัลของเมืองไทยที่เติบโตอย่างก้าวกระโดด”

ด้าน ดร. นริสา เชื้อวิดุล-ออ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บริษัท โคโกะเพย์ (ไทยแลนด์) จำกัด กล่าวว่า “ข้อมูลจากการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทยระบุว่า ปี 2566 มีจำนวนนักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติเดินทางมาท่องเที่ยวในเมืองไทยกว่า 33 ล้านคน โดยนักท่องเที่ยวจากสหราชอาณาจักร ถูกจัดอยู่อันดับที่ 7 ด้วยจำนวนนักท่องเที่ยวกว่า 1,242,577 คน และนักท่องเที่ยวจากเยอรมนี ถูกจัดอยู่อันดับที่ 8 ด้วยจำนวนนักท่องเที่ยวกว่า 1,091,109 คน ซึ่งจากจำนวนนักท่องเที่ยวชาวอังกฤษและยุโรปหลายล้านคนที่มาเยือนประเทศไทยในแต่ละปีและมีแนวโน้มเพิ่มขึ้นต่อเนื่อง เราจึงร่วมมือกับ ธนาคารไทยพาณิชย์ ยกระดับประสบการณ์ทางการเงินแบบไร้รอยต่อ ให้นักท่องเที่ยวสามารถใช้กระเป๋าเงินดิจิทัลบนมือถือของ KogoPAY ชำระค่าสินค้าและบริการในเมืองไทยผ่านการสแกนคิวอาร์โค้ดที่ร้านค้าที่รองรับการชำระผ่าน Thai QR Code ทั่วประเทศไทยอย่างไร้รอยต่อ ตอกย้ำพันธกิจของ KogoPAY ในการสร้างสรรค์นวัตกรรมและส่งมอบบริการทางการเงินข้ามพรมแดนให้กับลูกค้าอย่างต่อเนื่อง ภายใต้ความมุ่งมั่นที่จะทำให้การโอนเงินทั่วโลกเป็นเรื่องง่ายสำหรับทุกคน”

SCB and mobile payment startup KogoPAY introduce cross-border QR code payments for British and European tourists in Thailand.

Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) and mobile payment startup and digital wallet provider KogoPAY recently inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to offer QR code payment and ATM withdrawal services for the convenience of British and European tourists visiting Thailand. The partnership will serve as a payment option that is convenient, quick, and secure, allowing these visitors to seamlessly use the KogoPAY mobile wallet to make QR code payments at merchants accepting Thai QR code payments nationwide.
