เซ็นทรัลพัฒนา ขับเคลื่อนสังคมสีเขียวอย่างยั่งยืน จับมือพันธมิตร SCG นำกรีนโซลูชันพัฒนาโครงการมิกซ์ยูสระดับประเทศ

นายชาตรี โกวิทานุพงศ์ Executive Project Director Regional Development 1 บมจ.เซ็นทรัลพัฒนา กล่าวว่า "ทางเซ็นทรัลพัฒนารู้สึกยินดีอย่างยิ่งที่ได้รับรางวัลอันทรงเกียรติจาก Cement and Green Solution Business ภายใต้ SCG ในครั้งนี้ โดยที่ผ่านมาเราได้จับมือเป็นพันธมิตรกันเพื่อผลักดันสร้างสังคมคาร์บอนต่ำ นำร่องโครงการต้นแบบ Framework Pathway to Net Zero Building Guideline นับเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นที่ดีขององค์กรที่มีทิศทางด้านความยั่งยืน โดยเราได้เลือกใช้ผลิตภัณฑ์รักษ์โลกในกลุ่มซีเมนต์ คอนกรีต และกรีนโซลูชันในการพัฒนาและก่อสร้างโครงการมิกซ์ยูสสำคัญของเราคือ โครงการเซ็นทรัล นครสวรรค์ และโครงการ เซ็นทรัล นครปฐม ที่เตรียมเปิดอย่างเป็นทางการในวันที่ 30 มี.ค.67 โดยเลือกใช้ปูน Low Carbon รวมถึงมีการรีไซเคิลเสาเข็มที่ได้ริเริ่มมาตั้งแต่การพัฒนาโครงการเซ็นทรัล ศรีราชา และเซ็นทรัลจันทบุรี และการดำเนินงานภายใต้ Green Standard ต่างๆ ซึ่งถือเป็นความร่วมมือที่ช่วยให้เราเดินหน้าสู่เป้าหมาย NET Zero 2050 ได้อย่างเป็นรูปธรรมและต่อเนื่อง"

ทั้งนี้ เซ็นทรัลพัฒนา มีแผนการดำเนินงานเพื่อมุ่งสู่ NET Zero 2050 หรือการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกสุทธิเป็นศูนย์ในปี 2593 แบ่งได้ 3 หมวดหลัก คือ หมวดที่ 1: Decarbonized operational emissions ผ่านการดำเนินงาน ได้แก่ 1) ลดการใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้า 2) เพิ่มสัดส่วนการใช้พลังงานสะอาด (solar) 3) ลดขยะฝังกลบ 4) ลดการใช้น้ำ 5) ชวนร้านค้าผู้เช่าลดการใช้พลังงานและแยกขยะ; หมวดที่ 2: Decarbonized embodied emission ผ่านการดำเนินงาน ได้แก่ 1) การนำมาตรฐานอาคารเขียวระดับสากล Green building เช่น LEED, TREES, EDGE มาเป็นแนวทางในการก่อสร้าง 2) การวัด LCA-Life cycle assessment ของการก่อสร้าง 3) ร่วมมือกับ supplier และ contractor ในการเพิ่มปริมาณรีไซเคิลในวัสดุก่อสร้าง และ หมวดที่ 3: Carbon removal โดยการปลูกป่าทดแทน และ R&D เพื่อหานวัตกรรม Sustianovation มาช่วย capture carbon

Central Pattana puts forward sustainable 'green society' and joins hands with SCG to apply green solutions in the development of national-level mixed-use projects

Central Pattana plc, Thailand's number one real estate developer for sustainability, listed member on DJSI World 2023, and operator of Central shopping centers, residential projects, office buildings, and hotels nationwide, operates its businesses under the vision of 'Imagining better futures for all' and has become the 'Place Maker' that helps improve the quality of life, society, and the environment, all while moving toward the goal of Net Zero 2050. Central Pattana has recently received the award for 'Leading Developer in Thailand Contributing to the Green Construction Industry' at 'Inclusive Green Growth Days Empowered by SCG: Growth and Sustainability'. At the awards event, Mr. Chatree Kowitanupong, Executive Project Director, Regional Development 1, Central Pattana plc, received the prestigious award from Mr. Surachai Nimlaor, President, Cement and Green Solution Business at SCG.

Mr. Chatree Kowitanupong, Executive Project Director, Regional Development 1, Central Pattana plc, said: "Central Pattana is very pleased to receive this prestigious award from the 'Cement and Green Solution Business under SCG'. We have joined hands as partners to move together toward a low-carbon society, and we have initiated a pilot project of the 'Framework Pathway to Net Zero Building Guideline', which is a great starting point for companies with goals for sustainability. We have chosen environmentally friendly products in the categories of cement, concrete, and green solutions for use in the construction of our major mixed-use projects, beginning with the newly-opened Central Nakhon Sawan and Central Nakhon Pathom (which is scheduled to officially open on the 30th of March 2024). At both projects, we used low-carbon cement. For applying recycled coarse aggregate concrete (RCA), we operated at the construction of Central Si Racha and Central Chanthaburi. Various green standards are continuously applied. This cooperation significantly and continuously helps us move toward the goal of Net Zero 2050."

Central Pattana plans to achieve Net Zero 2050 in three main categories:

1st category: Decarbonized operational emissions through actions including: reduction of power consumption, increasing the proportion of clean energy use (via solar), reduction of landfill waste, reduction of water consumption, and encouraging partner shops to reduce their energy use and incorporate waste segregation.

2nd category: Decarbonized embodied emissions through actions including: adopting international green building standards such as LEED, TREES, EDGE as guidelines for construction, using LCA – Life Cycle Assessment for construction, and joining hands with suppliers and contractors to increase the amount of recycled materials for construction.

3rd category: Carbon removal by reforestation and conducting R&D to find 'sustainovation' for carbon capture.
